Indian Keto Dishes To Help You Stay Fit

1. Egg Curry

When it comes to keto Indian food, egg curry is a great option if you’re looking for something hearty and satisfying. For this recipe, boil, peel and slice 2-4 eggs, and keep them aside as you prepare the curry. In a pan, heat some oil and add some cumin. Let it simmer till it starts to sputter a little. Next, add onions, curry leaves, and chopped tomatoes. Once the onions are slightly golden, add in some ginger garlic paste and tomato puree. Add some red chilli powder, garam masala, turmeric, salt, and coriander powder as you stir. Once everything is cooked well, add the eggs, and let them fry for 2-3 minutes. Cover the pan and wait for the gravy to thicken. Once traces of oil begin to appear, remove the pan from the flame, and serve.

2. Butter Chicken

If you love Indian food but are trying to stay fit, fear not! There are plenty of delicious keto-friendly options that will leave you feeling satisfied. One of our favourites is butter chicken. Thanks to the succulent chicken and rich, creamy sauce, this dish is packed with flavour. Plus, it’s relatively easy to make at home. The key to this rich, aromatic dish is marinating the chicken in your favourite spices and curd in a saucepan with a lid. Let this sit overnight for the best infusion of flavours. Make a simple onion and tomato gravy with whole garam masala, and simmer the chicken in the gravy until moist and tender. Temper cumin seeds and red chillies in butter and add to the gravy to maximize the richness of this dish.

3. Seared Vegetable

When it comes to keto Indian food, there are plenty of delicious seared vegetables to choose from. Whether you’re looking for a hearty side dish or a light and healthy starter, seared vegetables are a great option. Some of our favourite seared vegetables include mushrooms, zucchini, eggplant, and peppers. All of these vegetables can be easily cooked in a pan with a little oil or ghee. Simply season them with your favourite spices and cook until they’re browned and slightly charred. If you’re looking for something more substantial, you can also sear chicken or beef to add to your vegetable dish. This is a great way to get all the flavours of Indian cuisine without all the carbs.

4. Paneer Makhani

Paneer makhani is a rich and creamy dish made with paneer and a tomato-based sauce. It’s a popular dish in North India, and it’s often served as a main course. This dish is traditionally made with full-fat milk, but you can lighten it up using low-fat or non-dairy milk. To make the sauce, start by sautéing onion and garlic in ghee or oil until softened. Then, add tomatoes and cook until they’re soft and begin to break down. Finally, stir in heavy cream or coconut milk and season with salt, pepper, garam masala, and other spices to taste.
